Meet Dr. Tanvi Patel – gentle, fun, and truly passionate about kids' health

Dr. Tanvi Patel, also known to her patients as Dr. Tanvi or Dr. T, is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist with over nine years of dental experience. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin and completed dental school at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. After five years as a general dentist, she returned to UT Health San Antonio to complete her Pediatric Dentistry Residency and focus entirely on caring for little smiles.

Dr. Tanvi’s journey into dentistry combines her lifelong love of art, hands-on creativity, and a deep-rooted desire to help others.

She finds true joy in getting to know her young patients, being silly with them, and making every visit feel comfortable and fun. Whether it's singing songs during checkups or using playful terms for dental tools, Dr. Tanvi brings warmth, empathy, and personalized care to every appointment.

Our office was designed with real kids in mind — we even asked them what they wanted to see! We’ve included a cozy baby room for one-on-one care, a fun kids' playroom with books and an interactive TV, a sensory wall for extra calming support, and TVs with Netflix and Disney+ to help young patients relax in the chair (headphones included!).

We specialize in pediatric dental care that’s gentle, modern, and designed just for kids. Our focus includes preventive services like fluoride, sealants, and silver diamine fluoride (SDF), as well as SMART fillings, a drill-free, no-shot solution for certain cases. We’re also excited to launch the Zōn painless injection technology soon to make treatment even more stress-free.

For patients who need extra support — whether due to anxiety, medical needs, or complex treatment — we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral conscious sedation, and in some cases, IV/general anesthesia.
